Alkisah pada suatu negara di tahun sekian, terbagi menjadi dua bagian. Mereka, dahulunya dikenal sebagai kerajaan yang masing-masing memiliki kekuatan tempur yang sama kuatnya, sehingga perang untuk saling memperebutkan daerah—sangat sia-sia. Kedua negara saling merugi, namun tak juga saling memenangkan. Itulah mengapa, akhirnya mereka memutuskan untuk menuliskan perjanjian damai demi kedua perbatasan dapat bekerja sama tanpa membuat penduduk mereka menderita.
Kedua kerajaan itu adalah Vesithia dan Brigalla.
Perjanjian tanpa batas yang ditandatangani oleh kedua pihak memunculkan harapan baru. Mereka saling bekerja sama dalam berbagai sektor hingga terciptalah masa kejayaan. Tiada pertumpahan darah, lancarnya aktivitas impor-ekspor, perayaan festival budaya bersama, hingga dekatnya hubungan antara keluarga kerajaan.
Pada masa kejayaan inilah dua pangeran lahir dan bertemu sapa, Lysander Sullivan dari kerajaan Vesithia dan Ramiel Valerius dari kerajaan Brigalla. Namun, tak ada yang akan menyangka bahwa pertemuan mereka akan membawa bencana di masa depan.
Kedua anak itu dipertemukan di acara minum teh yang diselenggarakan oleh sang Ratu dari Vesithia. Khawatir akan sang pangeran kesulitan untuk bersosialisasi, ia diajak untuk ikut berkumpul bersama banyaknya putra dari konglomerat, terutama pangeran dari kerajaan seberang. Disanalah, ia yang bahkan masih tak bisa bersosialisasi, sang pangeran—Ramiel, menunjukkan rasa penasarannya terhadap Lysander.
Pertemuan pertama mereka pun bisa dibilang tidaklah akrab, Lysander menolak mentah-mentah keberadaan sang Ramiel, tetapi Ramiel tetap penasaran sampai sang Ratu pun memutuskan untuk mengakrabkan mereka.
Rasa penasaran Ramiel didukung oleh Ratu Vesithia dengan melakukan pesta teh setiap bulannya, mengundang Ramiel selalu untuk hadir demi mempertemukannya dengan Lysander.
Pertemuan kedua mereka tidak jauh berbeda dengan yang pertama, namun Lysander terlihat terpaksa melangkah dari cangkang. Setiap bulan terus berlalu hingga kedua pangeran menjadi sangat akrab. Lysander yang semula dikhawatirkan tak memiliki teman pun mendapatkan Ramiel sebagai teman pertamanya. Hal ini terus berlanjut hingga mereka beranjak menjadi sosok yang dewasa.
Sparring, bertukar surat, belajar bersama, ekspedisi bersama—minum teh bersama. Kegiatan mereka dapat dibilang sangat dekat dan tak dapat dipisahkan. Kekhawatiran sang Ratu tak lagi membuat bingung bagaimana Lysander kedepannya, bahkan—Lysander mulai tersenyum berkat Ramiel.
Sayangnya, hal tersebut harus tak dapat berlanjut lama ketika beberapa bulan sebelum hari ulang tahun Lysander terjadi.
II.
Saat itu, seperti biasa diadakan acara minum teh bersama para konglomerat. Seluruh keluarga banyak yang ikut, terutama karena mereka akan merayakan ulang tahun Lysander, dan karena semua merupakan ide sang sahabat, Ramiel—kerajaan Brigalla yang bertanggung jawab akan acara minum teh tersebut.
Sampai tiba-tiba, sang Raja dari Vesithia, jatuh dari duduknya usai menegak tehnya, dan berhenti bernapas karena keracunan.
Peristiwa yang sungguh tak terduga. Perjanjian damai yang telah berlangsung cukup lama kini hangus berkat Raja Vesithia yang telah diracuni.
Acara tersebut berakhir ricuh. Seluruh tamu undangan berusaha menyelamatkan Raja Vasithia meski berakhir dengan tragis. Setiap pihak pun berusaha mencari pelaku kejadian itu hingga salah satu kerabat dekat Raja Vesithia menuduh Raja Brigalla serta putranya sebagai pelaku.
Sempat para tamu undangan tak mempercayai tuduhan tersebut, namun bukti telah berkata lain.
Lysander sebenarnya tak mempercayainya. Benarkah rekan yang selama ini telah dekat dengannya, tanpa pamrih, tiba-tiba meracuni ayahnya sendiri?
Namun, sang Ratu—maupun kerabatnya—yang telah mengatakan untuk tak mempercayainya, terutama saat bukti yang diberikan benar-benar sangat nyata menunjuk Ramiel… dia tak memiliki pilihan. Ia tak kuasa melihat sang ibu harus menderita karena kepergian sang ayah yang cepat pergi karena skandal ini.
Sesuai hukum, seluruh keluarga Ramiel pun diadili dengan eksekusi mati setelah hukuman penahanan mereka selama 5 hari.
Pula Ramiel tak bisa mempercayai tuduhan yang diarahkan kepadanya. Pasang mata kebencian telah diberikan kepadanya beserta keluarga. Kepanikan tak kunjung mereda dari hati pangeran Brigalla.
Harapan ia letakkan pada para pelayan kerajaan, mengharap bahwa ada yang mendukung pernyataannya. Naas, pelayan kerajaan Brigalla juga menaruh kesalahan pada keluarga Brigallaーterlebih menyebutkan Ramiel sebagai pelaku utama.
Sebelum ditahan, terlebih dahulu Ramiel kabur dari pihak kerajaan Vesithia demi mencari sebuah kebenaran. Namun usaha Ramiel menjadikan kepalanya sebagai buronan berhadiah, pelapor akan mendapat ganti sebagai usaha menemukan pangeran Brigalla.
Hari demi hari telah terlewati sejak kejadian itu, Ramiel yang tengah berusaha mencari kebenaran kini kembali ke Vesithia dengan sebuah bukti faktual yang menunjuk pada pelaku sebenarnya. Akan tetapi, usaha Ramiel mencari pelaku terbilang sia-sia.
Kekosongan di kursi tahta pun sementara dipakai oleh sang sepupu dari keluarga Sullivan. Saat itu pula Ramiel telah bersikeras untuk melaporkan segala macam kebusukan yang sebenarnya dalang dari semua ini, sang sepupu—Alexander, lakukan.
Namun lagi-lagi, bukti yang Ramiel kumpulkan sama sekali tak cukup. Bahkan ia telah ditangkap lagi meski disamping Alexander, berdiri sang sahabat—Lysander.
Ramiel berkali-kali memanggil namanya. Namun Lysander…
… bahkan tidak menatapnya sama sekali.
Perilaku tak acuh sang pangeran Vesithia menjadi minyak bagi amarah Ramiel. Telah ia sadari bahwa kawannya tak lagi berpihak pada Ramiel, tak mengindahkan segala teriakan keputusasaan.
Api kemarahan telah memakan kebaikan serta kepedulian Ramiel. Tepat sebelum langkahnya terseret keluar dari hadapan penguasa sementara Vesithia, ia teriakkan ujaran kebencian kepada seluruh jajaran Vesithiaーtermasuk Lysander.
"TUNGGULAH PEMBALASANKU, VESITHIA. DAN KAU, LYSANDER!!!"
Telah dipersiapkan eksekusi pada hari itu juga pada Pangeran Brigalla, namun ia meloloskan diri untuk kedua kalinya. Bayaran untuk kepalanya semakin meninggi hingga membuat kehebohan di Brigalla maupun Vesithia. Meskipun telah gencar disebarkan tim pengejar, tak satupun berhasil menemukan Ramiel. Dia telah hilang, dinyatakan mati oleh Alexander.

Lysander was a prestigious prince and also knight from Vesithia Kingdom. At first, he has a trouble for socializing, because of his cold demeanor towards new people. This trait slowly faded as Ramiel changed him, even though he was shoved away coldly by him too. He is also known with his seriousness and well-maintained composure, hardly would be swayed by emotions unless he's facing with most of honeyed words from his only and one old friend.
He doesn't talk too much either as people would often mistook him for being an-anti social, but that doesn't mean he's completely silent; when the topic in his favor, he would smile to his interlocutor; especially to Ramiel—only his untold feelings that still hasn't changed until now.
He tends to keep silent instead of told them lies, and he never tells lies to anyone either.
After a shocking fact that Ramiel, fled from his execution, Lysander become a knight while Alexander continues the throne instead of him. Because of the rules, someone who's older enough and still related with last king can take over the throne. That time, Lysander is still around 20 years old and he's still not enough befitting as king, and he couldn't against his mother either.
However, not that long after his father's death, his mother follows because of depression keep consumed her sanity. That's three years happened and then, rumor about Brigalla estate that has been influenced with Vesithia wiped into a dust caught by his ears. Having a bad feeling about this, he sneaked out and found out if this place was entirely erased by one person only. Seeking the truth, he finally realized if this was Ramiel doing.
But why? He questioned, thus asked the King. Learning another shocking truth from King's mouth himself, Lysander must hardly swallowed his bitter, truth pills. Ramiel was right. It was the King who killed his own father back then.
Driven by his silent, long-hold anger, Lysander killed Alexander by his own hands. Since technically he was stronger than him, it wasn't hard one. Thus he disbanded the empire and set his journey, in search for his lost friend.
However, in two years he's tracking him, Lysander must face his own death because of an ambush from a rebellious group who hates him and his empire, when he's inspecting a certain ruins about mythical creatures. Fortunately, Lysander was saved by Phoenix soul. The Phoenix was watching over him since he was born, thus create a pact and reviving him. Bounded with Phoenix soul since then, he continued his path to seek his friend only.

Lysander is known as skilled swordsman, thus making him has good balance between his long sword and his body. He has great agility despite a long sword wielder while holding his sword with one hand only. Less relying to his sword, he can use his well-built body to encounter with bare handed and enough knowledge of martial arts. He can use flame element base magic since his soul merging with Phoenix soul. His flame is holy, it has similar purity to overcome darkness base element.
Not only that, he can be revived with the power of Phoenix but with heavy consequence, although his flame could revive him, but it doesn't possess an ability to heal him while he's still breathing. He is also capable to conjure normal flame as base magic along with his swordsmanship.

Ramiel, the knight and laid-back Prince under Brigalla Kingdom. He was born under a strict family of Valerius, but he never tries to take those strict and seriousness as a part of himself. Despite being laid-back―he blends, socializes, and listens well to his people. Still he has difficulties reading books, thus learning everything by doing. It's because of him too, Lysander comes out from his shell and changes. There's a hint that he likes Lysander but due to his laid-back personality, it's not shown well.
The result was expected, but what shocked him more was Lysander's response to his effort exposing Alexander's plot. The hatred which was previously given only to the house of Sullivan has now affected to Lysander. Who wouldn't feel hurt after the friend he cares so much wouldn't give an eye to him, doing nothing.
A title of traitor has been given to him and family of Valerius for killing the king of Sullivan. Ramiel's family has been sentenced to death, only him surviving from the terror. There's no more place for him to go after fleeing from Vesithia―but returning to Brigalla Palace was one of his first step from fleeing of this cruel fate. There, he would stop by library and search for anything which could satisfy his hunger of revenge.
Later upon finding the way, Ramiel embarked a journey―resulting finding a way to enhancing one's power by selling their soul to devil. Attracted to do so without ever caring the payment, Ramiel gone for months without news to make a contract. The first phase of contract has been done― by sacrificing the souls of Brigalla's people under influence of Vesithia, he contracted with the devil.
Due to his hatred to Vesithia and Lysander, the thirst needed to be quenched. Not wanting to create a mess in his first year of contracting, thus he sacrificed more people of Brigalla who were under Vesithia's influence. From time to time, he sacrificed them to strengthen his devil's power. The rumor of Brigalla's prince be the cause of increasing death tolls have spread throughout Vesithia.
Because of his actions, Brigalla is no more and Vesithia has lost a great number of slaves. Still the thirst has yet been quenched, he continued his journey to other land. Different from what he has done to Brigalla people, his next actions of sacrificing people to strengthen his power targeted those of rotten people. Despite being twisted and consumed by his hatred, he still seeks for justice.

As a prince, he needs to know of swordsmanship. Living in strict family, he is forced to learn traditional swordsmanship which is using one-handed blade. However, he likes more to using two blades/daggers as his main considering he's focusing in technique and usage of parts of body in battle. Prior to contracting with devil, darkness is his base element.
Ramiel can borrow devil's power to both enhance his blade and his body. He can also absorb dead and tainted souls as a source to his power and healing properties. Should he be attacked by holy properties, he'll be weaken immediately. However, absorbing dead and tainted souls will only resulting his change closer to devil. The more he consumes, he will be taken control easily by the devil within him.
Upon using great energy, he could also summon devil being residing within him in limited of time. However, everything is restrained by the condition of his body.
